We got a new drummer

Shaun unfortunately had to leave the band for personal reasons. We wish him the best in any future endeavors. We have a new drummer now, Benjamin Carpineta. We are in the process of setting up some shows with the new lineup. Expect to see us back on stage this summer. Maybe with a new song or two!

Friday at On the Y + updates

This Friday, February 11th (WANING) will play our second show with the new (and way heavier) lineup. We've added a new song to the set, which we premired at the Press Club show we played on January 31st. There are no other shows currently booked, so don't miss this one. We should be recording sometime in the spring, so we need to get ready for that.

Speaking of recording, Venetian Veil (Jim and Susan's side project) will begin recording an album this weekend with Matt "Noisepsalm" Lewis on the dials - stay tuned for more info on that!

New Members

We have a couple of new members. Our friend Shaun Moffit, formerly of Forsake the Flesh, Season of Sorrow, and like 100 other bands will be playing drums. Also, for the first time, we will have a bass player - Jeff Walters, who has done time in Claudia's Ashes and Dying Prayer. We are looking to book shows with the new lineup in February.

When (waning) began, we were an ambient duo. Susan and I have decided that instead of abandoning this sound completely now that (waning) has moved beyond the borders of pure ambient music, we would continue on under a new name. With a heavy heart, (WANING) announces the departure of our drummer Scott. Last night was our last show with him, and it was a great time. We wish him nothing but the best. California Tour In Minature

Wednesday we are starting a mini-tour. Please come out to the shows. If you are out of state, you can still tune in Thursday night at 11pm to KDVS.org to listen to our Live in Studio A session. Also, feel free to download or order our album to help fund the madness.
